About Me
Kia ora! I am a PMP-certified project professional with 17+ years of experience in high-volume manufacturing environments — delivering new plant builds, capacity expansions and complex production line upgrades across automotive components and semiconductor facilities.
My track record covers end-to-end delivery: planning, procurement and contractor management through to commissioning and handover — all while maintaining zero disruption to mission-critical operations. I coordinate multi-disciplinary scopes spanning mechanical (HVAC and process piping), electrical, process and utility water, specialty gas and chemical distribution systems.
A Mechanical Engineering graduate, I completed my Master of Civil Engineering at the University of Auckland in June 2026, focused on critical infrastructure and industrial project delivery. I currently teach project management at the University as a Graduate Teaching Assistant and serve on the PMI New Zealand committee.
Bilingual in Mandarin Chinese and English, based in Auckland and holding a three-year New Zealand work visa, I am available immediately for full-time project delivery roles across data centres, critical infrastructure, water and industrial facilities.
New Zealand Experience
- Support delivery of a Project Management course to a cohort of 100+ students, assisting with tutorials, student queries and assignment guidance.
- Facilitate communication between lecturers and students to improve engagement and learning outcomes.
- Provide academic and administrative support for the 100+ student cohort, including marking, feedback coordination and class preparation.
- Actively support PMI New Zealand chapter events and initiatives, contributing to event coordination and community engagement for audiences of 70+ attendees, including local not-for-profit organisations and consultants.
- Currently supporting the PM Day of Service (PMDOS) project — building relationships with not-for-profit and consultant stakeholders, coordinating outreach and preparing delivery for the September 2026 programme.
- Selected as a mentee in the PMI NZ mentoring programme, gaining monthly guidance on local work practices, regulations and project delivery from a New Zealand project manager.
International Experience
- Delivered cross-border brownfield upgrade projects in live chip manufacturing (3D NAND) and mission-critical environments, ensuring zero disruption to production and critical systems.
- Key Achievement: Delivered CRAH capacity upgrade projects supporting mission-critical data centre operations, coordinating multiple contractors and live electrical tie-ins without service interruption.
- Led complex facility retrofit and relocation projects (fire control and security control centres) within active environments, with technical coordination across HVAC, electrical, fire protection, security systems and BMS.
- Delivered compliance-driven and cleanroom facility projects, including VOC and utility monitoring systems, ensuring regulatory compliance, safety and system reliability.
- Acted as key interface across stakeholders, contractors and operations teams — managing risk, HSE, quality, budget and delivery across multiple concurrent projects.
- Managed main contractors delivering multi-disciplinary scopes — mechanical (HVAC and process piping), electrical, process and utility water, specialty gases and chemical distribution — coordinating design, procurement, installation and commissioning across all trades.
- Installed and commissioned new hydraulic curing equipment (USD 22M), coordinating with manufacturing and US global engineering teams to achieve operational readiness and verify equipment performance against quality and safety requirements before handover.
- Developed and onboarded key Chinese equipment suppliers (Mesnac, Sinoarp) through the full equipment lifecycle — design reviews with global engineering headquarters, factory process inspections and in-plant testing, through to factory acceptance, site installation, commissioning and production handover.
- Led technical design reviews, supplier factory inspections, on-site installation, commissioning and production ramp-up for the first Run-On-Flat tyre building machine (USD 5M) and truck tyre FVM equipment (USD 4M) in the Asia-Pacific region — industrialising first-of-kind process equipment into stable, high-volume manufacturing.
- Relocated to Thailand as a subject matter expert to support expansion of Goodyear's local manufacturing facility, providing on-the-ground technical leadership across construction and equipment installation, and commissioning and signing off a new aircraft tyre production line.
- Strategically prepared and managed equipment aligned with production needs.
- Ensured operational continuity through proactive maintenance planning.
- Cultivated strong vendor relationships for reliable equipment and spare parts sourcing.
- Managed equipment documentation and historical records to ensure traceability, support maintenance planning and minimise operational risk.
